Das Foto (Photo) ist ein mit einer Kamera erstelltes Abbild von einer Person oder einem Gegenstand.
Während früher als Träger des Bildes ein beschichtetes Papier diente sind heute auch Fotos denkbar, deren einzelnen Bildpunkte als digitale Information auf einem Datenträger gespeichert sind.
(Einer der in mindestens einer Woche des Jahres 2003 am häufigsten verwendeten Begriffe in deutschen Suchmaschinen)
