1) China ist eines der größten Länder der Erde, was sowohl die Fläche, die Einwohnerzahl und auch (2005) das wirtschaftliche Wachstum betrifft. Von der Landfläche her ist China Nummer zwei (nach Russland). Andere Publikationen zählen die Wasserflächen eines Landes hinzu und positionieren China auf Platz 4 (nach Russland, USA, Canada).
2) Wegen seiner Herkunft wird im Englischen Porzellan auch als "China" bezeichnet.
