Privater oder öffentlich-rechtlicher Wirtschaftsbetrieb, der Geldgeschäfte betreibt. Bei einer Bank kann es sich aber auch um eine Samenbank handeln - eine Einrichtung bei der Samenzellen eingefroren werden und zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt für eine künstliche Befruchtung verwendet werden. Zudem gibt es Sandbänke. Das sind Ablagerungen aus Kies und/oder Sand am Meeresgrund, gebildet durch Gezeiten und Strömungen. Darüber hinaus ist die Bank ein Möbelstück, eine Sitzgelegenheit meist für 2 bis 3 Personen.
